How To

How do you make a great martini?

A martini is made from gin (or vodka), vermouth, and ice. Before serving, the ingredients should be thoroughly mixed. It is usually served in a chilled glass. A good martini should always be served straight up. Mixing it can ruin the flavor.

Two olives are the most common way to serve martinis. Olive brine can be added to the rim of the glass to enhance the flavor.

Any type of alcohol can be used, however it is best to use 100% grain alcohol such as Vodka and Gin. This gives the cocktail a smoother texture. Although there are many vermouths on the market, we recommend one that does not contain any added sugar. Too much sugar makes cocktails too sweet.

To make a martini, add 2 ounces of dry vodka to a shaker. Add 1 ounce of vodka. Shake vigorously until well combined. Mix well in a chilled martini glass. Garnish with an olive.

Make a martini recipe using a shaker. Don't shake the mixture too vigorously - just enough to combine all ingredients.
